Udviklet, men trods 10 år stadig ungdommelig. Kompleks frugtig næse med sorte kirsebær. På samme tid intens og elegant smag med masser af frugtsyre – lang smag. Stor vin – beaujolais på speed!

As it approaches its ninth birthday, the 2009 Moulin-à-Vent from Fabien Duperray remains a very young bottle of cru Beaujolais, offering up a glorious bouquet of inky mulberry fruit, cassis, bitter chocolate and a subtle framing of classy new oak that marries with the wine in a manner reminiscent of the Côte de Nuit's best. On the palate, it's full-bodied, rich and multidimensional, with incredible concentration and depth but remaining fresh and beautifully delineated. The finish is extremely long. While some of the riper 2009 Beaujolais are beginning to evolve and tire, this is as vibrant and bright as it was the day it was bottled. In a blind tasting, I suspect this Moulin-à-Vent would leave many scratching their heads.
